Hillary E. Kump is an Associate Attorney at McKnight Kitzinger where she concentrates her practice on general commercial litigation matters and appellate practice.  Hillary helps her clients solve their legal problems, whether it’s through litigation, arbitration, or settlement.  She has experience working on commercial disputes, insurance defense, and real estate transactions.  Hillary is a double threat, both a talented writer and advocate in the courtroom.  While earning her degree from Florida International University College of Law in 2021, Hillary served as teaching assistant for the legal writing, skills, and values class.  She also served as a student clinician at the Florida Center for Capital Representation assisting on The Balanced Justice Project.  Hillary was a member of the Moot Court Board of Appellate Advocacy and the Trial Advocacy Program. While serving on each competition teams, she became a quarterfinalist at the Emory Civil Rights & Liberties 14th Annual Competition in 2020 and a semifinalist at the American Association for Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition in 2021.  She also earned CALI Awards for her coursework in Trial Advocacy and Pre-Trial Practice and was on the Dean’s List for five semesters.Prior to law school, Ms. Kump earned her B.A from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013, where she studied International Relations, Political Science, and European Studies. While at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Ms. Kump was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, and studied abroad at the Institute of Touraine in Tours, France.
